“This was one of those paintings where I felt completely pulled into the scene - headphones on, world switched off, imagining the clash of humans and machines in the streets of London. Every detail had to carry that tension. Painters like Delacroix once captured revolution with works like Liberty Leading the People - iconic moments of struggle made timeless. I wanted to channel that same energy and immortalise a battle that hasn’t yet happened, a future uprising painted with the same spirit as the Renaissance and Neoclassical masters who once depicted epic clashes in sweeping detail.”
